It’s time for the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Once again, the MRV Interfaith Council is helping local families in need celebrate Thanksgiving with a complete Thanksgiving meal, free of any charge. We need your support to make this happen! Last year we collectively helped 80 of our families and more than 300 adults and kids. This effort allows people to celebrate a full meal with their families, with no cost to them. The generosity of this community has been awesome and we ask you to donate again this year!
There are three ways to help this year:
- Buy food items from the list below and drop off at the Valley Reporter offices (Mad River Green in Waitsfield) or local churches — we need the food several days BEFORE Thanksgiving, so please drop off by Friday, Nov 18th.
- If you can’t shop, but want to help, please consider donating a check. Either contribute via our paypal link: https://bit.ly/MRVdonate or mail to: Mad River Interfaith Council, PO Box 342, Waitsfield, VT 05673. The funds are used to purchase food. Any extra is sent to the MRV Community Pantry.
- If you can help in person, sign up to help sort, pack or deliver food. Signup link: https://bit.ly/MRVgobble Any surplus items will be used to fill up our local food pantry shelves, so please give all you can. Whether you are an individual, family or business, thank you in advance for helping us help out our neighbors once again this year.
