Our Mission

Welcome people as they are,

share Jesus as He is, &

serve the community with love

Welcome! Glad you’re here! The Warren United Church, United Church of Christ, an Open and Affirming congregation, strives to live our mission in everything we do.  We seek, in many ways, to be a light on a hill – for this community and beyond – affirming that God is still speaking.

                                       Women at the WellFeb 15!

As the winter continues on (and on and on)… it seems like a good time to connect with our friends in faith. I’m planning to host a simple gathering once each month, initially at the Warren United Church but we can meet in other spaces too. In the past at our gatherings we have shared a topic for discussion, watched short documentaries/Ted Talks, created our own Anglican Prayer Beads, shared our “Rose, Bud & Thorn”, taken road trips to Weston Priory, Heidi’s Tea House, Hallelujah Farm and other destinations, read created spiritual literature together, prayed, meditated, shared music, etc… Facilitation of the group rotates.

The main purpose has been to form and deepen connections with and learn from one another.  You don’t need to be a member of the church or even attend worship as this is open to all women. This is a commitment-free, informal group designed to welcome people when it fits into their life. This is not another obligation pulling at you but rather a respite from the “grind” of regular life. We’ll serve hot tea and a snack.

Our first gathering of 2023 will meet at 6:00pm on Wednesday, Feb 15th at the church. If you haven’t already been in touch with Chrissy, you can email the church if you plan to attend! All are welcome.

Sunday Morning Worship At 10am on Sunday mornings, there is a worship service in the church’s sanctuary. At 11am, everyone is invited to the Emma Ford Room for fellowship (snacks, coffee, laughs, and conversation). All ages welcome. To learn more about worship at the Warren United Church, click here.

Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month. Christ’s table is open to all.

Prayer Group ~ Tuesdays 8:30- 10:00 am
Come to the Emma Ford Room at the church (up the ramp in the back of the church). We really cherish the weekly opportunities to pray with one another. Consider joining us on a Tuesday morning, even if you can only stay for a short time. We would love to see you and have a chance to pray with you! Read more about the group here.

Meditation Group with Don is back on Zoom Wednesday nights at 7pm.

Recovery Dharma has been suspended for now.

AA Meetings are held at the church Friday nights at 7pm.
