Worship

Our Sunday service begins at 10:00am, and we have a time of fellowship (conversation & snacks) afterwards. All are welcome.

*There is a ventilation system in the sanctuary and throughout the whole building.

While each service is unique, Sunday worship always begin with the Peace Candle & Pledge, Opening Words & a Word of Welcome. Then, we open it up for announcements, where the congregation can share the good things happening in the church or church leadership or in their lives or community. This is a time to share opportunities, invitations and events.

Our Deacons, then lead us in a Call to Worship, offer scripture readings and prayers. A gathering prayer is offered occasionally. A Prayer of Confession is quite regular, and the Prayers of the People (joys and concerns) are a Sunday regular. Rev. Erin offers a message most Sundays, and sometimes we have guest speakers or leaders in the congregation preach or share their stories.

While we generally follow the lectionary readings and (RCL) Revised Common Lectionary, life happens, and sometimes we have to make space to address the community’s need, to celebrate life, grieve tragedy or honor special days or good news in the church. In other words, we are open to the needs of the people and stirring of the Spirit. We encourage folks of all ages to get involved in worship. Talk to Rev. Erin or one of our Deacons if you would like to offer a part of a service.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” – Mark 12:30

‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
